The Risen Christ being fed comb honey and fish from The Sacred Bee Part 1

Apicuisine (cooking with honeybee products) Easter Meal suggestion

For those celebrating Easter we can suggest an Apicuisine (cooking with bee products delight) for Easter brunch or dinner, one can offer a comb honey and cheese plate for dessert or a starter. This sweet savoury delicious pairing is extremely nourishing, and will put you in the land of milk and honey symbolically and literally. Further in Luke 24:42 the Risen Christ asks for food and is given broiled fish and honeycomb.

A starter can be a salad (trout lettuce if you can get it) with honey mustard (the parable of the mustard seed, Matthew 13:31), can season the salad along with some salt, (You are the salt of the Earth, Matthew 5:13), olive oil (mount of olives) and honey vinegar. (Sweetening the acidic cruelty of the crucifixion).

A good Easter main course suggestion is a honey glazed salmon. The salmon is an excellent Easter fish choice as it is  the symbol of the Initiate who swims upstream to spawn or return to the source as the Risen Christ does.

For those of you who have attended the beeswax candle making course you learned that the flame of a beeswax candle is as close to pure sunlight as you can get. And that you got to take home and light 4 beeswax candles. This tiny piece of brother Sun as St Francis affectionately called the greater Light of the World that the Piscean Messiah identified with when he said "I am the Light of the World" makes for a nice touch for a beautiful presence and ambience of the Angel of fire symbolic of the Holy Spirit for the Easter table.

Further as the honeybees visit over 2 million flowers to make a pound of honey and they store this paradiscal floral essence in their beeswax the scent of a beeswax table candle at Easter can perfume the air with spring's blossoming bouquet of a return to symbolically a heavenly region...

A celestial drink to go with this Easter apicuisine repast would be mead. As those who took our mead making workshop and left with a gallon of this nectar of the gods.. learned that about 3 lbs of honey are mixed with a gallon of water as the base of a mead. A pyment is a mead made with wine and for Easter this would be a good type of mead to symbolically attract the presence of "I am the true vine and my father is the vinter". John 15:1
